Why Would Customers Steal American Flags?

I was at Lowes yesterday, and the customers in front of me were buying an American flag. The cashier made the comment that she noticed that American flags had disappeared from the shelves. It appeared that people were stealing them. They were puzzled and angry that people who were patriotic would steal a flag.

But I had a different take. I told them that they were stealing the flags because they wanted to destroy them. The lights came on for them, as they had never thought of that before.

Friends, we are engaged in another great Civil War, only it is more like a cold civil war than the one fought in the 1860s.

People are openly defiant toward our country. Their actions reveal what is going on in their hearts. These people are so filled with hatred that it is infecting the whole country right now.

The two dividing issues really have to do with government. How much power should the government have? To what degree are we going to trust the government with? How big should the government be?

The whole idea of government is really based upon the ability for its citizens to have self-government. The government should not need to have a great amount of control over us. We should be the ones making our decisions and living out our belief systems. Government should not control our thinking and decision making. But that is what one group believes and is fighting for.

The issue centers around the subject of responsibility. Who is responsible for me? The liberal Left has decided that certain groups of people are 'victims', and therefore they are no longer responsible for their actions. The liberal Left seems to be skilled in creating victim groups for they know that if they can lead the people to believe that they are helpless victims, they (the liberal Left) will come to their rescue. Then those helpless victims will support the Democratic party with their votes. These citizens and the Democratic party will feed off each other.

The Bible tells us we are responsible for ourselves. It is not the government's responsibility to take care of us and do all our thinking and decision making. God created us with skills to develop. He wired each person a certain way, and that person, if in the right kind of environment, will develop those skills and make a living to provide for himself or herself and their families. This is how people thrive.

The liberal Left will remove the desires and ambitions of developing skills that can help and serve us for our lifetimes. Instead, the liberal Left will demote people who work hard and are successful in their jobs, and will take their money and use it for the government's benefit. So, the hard working person is really only living to serve the government, and the government in turn, will serve the victimized person by doing his or her thinking and decision making, and by paying all their bills. This form of government will keep the person dependent on them.

Anyway, sadly people in this country are either ignorant or naive to the fact that there is nothing for free. These people who tell us that they will fight for free education and health care, are only pipe dreaming. If this objective were possible, then someone else would have figured out a long time ago, how to make it work. It doesn't just happen on its own. It can't happen because it is impossible. Unless you want to steal from other people groups, which is unjust.

So, these groups of people who think they are victimized, are the angry, hateful ones, who burn and trash American flags. They want a new America. They want an America that offers everything for free. Isn't this what the Socialistic ideology is all about?

The Trojan Horse That's Being Invited To Enter The United States

  We all know the story of the Trojan Horse, how the people in the city welcomed it. It entered the city and then opened itself up with a bunch of traitors. We know how it ended.

  The city was deceived into thinking that the Trojan Horse was something nice, like a gift. They gladly opened the gates to the city and let him in. They were deceived, and they lost.

  Well, America has its own Trojan Horse. Only the betrayers are those who are leading authorities on the Liberal Left side. They are welcoming and encouraging this Trojan Horse, and are fighting for him to come in, using the legal system in a warped way. They are using the law to enable this Trojan Horse to enter. They are finding and making loopholes legally against the President who is trying to keep out the Trojan Horse.

  The Democratic party really, really wants illegal immigrants to come in. Not only will they use this to usurp the President's authority, but they will use to to make another large victim group that they will use to create a permanent underclass which will support this party with their votes. Once they get them in, they will raise our taxes to pay for their education and medical care as well as the other needs these people want. (Illegal immigrants have a higher priority to the liberal Left).

  You might be wondering why hordes of people are coming toward our country all of the sudden. How are these poor people going to afford this and why would they take the risk of coming here?

  There are unbelievable dangers in this trek, yet, these people have some motive for coming here. Is someone supporting them if they cooperate? I don't know, but, I did read where a news report was given, probably in the Honduras, and these people were promised money if they took the trip. But then the person supposedly responsible for paying them for making the trip denied this offer to them.

  I heard briefly that this is a global event. This is not just a bunch of people who are suddenly realizing that if they come to America, things will be better. This event obviously has been orchestrated by someone, most likely a Left winger, and maybe even a Democrat.

  Whatever this is, and whatever the original motives were, this is an open door for the drug trade and the sex slave trade to enter our country without being caught first.

  It's sad because the Democratic party used to be for the working person. They were very good on being concerned with jobs and the economy. A lot of people voted Democrat for that very reason. Their children and grandchildren also voted Democrat. It was passed down in the family.

  I have also heard that the Democratic party is the party of slavery, and those who started the KKK were all Democrats. So, there was a mixture there long ago.

  But today, what happened? I believe the Democratic party was hijacked by the liberal Left, and now it is a socialist/communist party, sadly. They are not concerned about the safety of the nation, nor are they concerned about people having jobs. The economy means nothing to them.

  So, they want these illegal immigrants to come and live here, at our expense, of courses. When these people come in, we will foot the bill for them. They are not victims, as the Democratic party would like you to believe. They are people created by God, in the image of God, for the purpose of glorifying God. They were designed to create a society where they live. But instead, the Democratic party wants you and me to believe that they are victims, and therefore, are not responsible for themselves.

   Don't let the Democrats fool you either. They complain about the supposed situation at the Border where parents and children are separated. The president actually took action to begin the process of stopping that. Those pictures they show of the children being separated or in foil (whatever that was about) were taken when Obama was president. Our current president has taken action and showed compassion with that, but you will not see anything of that on CNN, CBS, NBC, etc.

  The Liberal Left Democrats are not compassionate. They are actually full of hate. For anyone who can create and pass bills allowing babies that are unwanted to die, something is wrong. Something is broken with this system. These people are hypocrites at best.

  The difference between the story of the Trojan Horse, and us today, is that in America, there are many, many people who see through this dilemma. They know exactly what is going on and why. But there is an opposing party that is coming to the rescue of the Trojan Horse. The question is, which side will win?

  Do we want to listen and believe the hypocritical, hateful, lying party, or do we want to take action and do our part to do what is just and right?

Salvation of lost people in America
God to raise up Godly, God-fearing people to run our country
The evil network in the top levels of government to unravel
The hidden works of darkness to be exposed
For God to raise up Godly judges to rule in our local court houses and in the Supreme Court
For God to render powerless, those who are opposing His will, who serve in the government today

Could Doctors Be legally Forced To Perform Abortions?

Lots of problems are on the horizon. We have veterinarians who are forced by law to give animals (your pet included) certain doses of medicine that could potentially kill your pet. We have laws coming out that would penalize parents and children who do not vaccinate their children. Now we have laws that allow a mother to let her baby die if she doesn't want the baby. What has happened to this country?

I remember listening to our pastor years ago, and he was saying that doctors were forced to perform abortions. My husband worked in the hospital industry at the time, and he said that wasn't true. That was at least 30 years ago. It wasn't true back then, but today that could happen.

What I think is happening, is that the Left is afraid because people are being appointed to the Supreme Court who are Pro-life. They are afraid because they fear that Roe vs. Wade could be overturned. So, they are being proactive and those in the legal system who are Pro-choice are going forward with horrible law making to protect their so called 'right' to abortion. Just in case abortions get outlawed, they want to have these laws in place.

So, I don't know if this is prophetic or just looking at the future with the way things are going, but, I have a feeling that, someday, possibly soon, laws will be passed to ensure the continuation of performing abortions legally, that will force OBGYNs to perform abortions or lose their licenses.

If you are a Pro-life obstetrician, please, don't abandon your job and position. Please continue to do your work ethically, and don't let the bad guys win. We have to be in tune, legally, and know what is going on. We need to pray that God will bring in Godly people to be in the top leadership of our country. We need to pray for God to raise up God-fearing people to be in our legal system, making the laws of the land.

Where did we go wrong? I will have to write another blog on that. My personal opinion is that one big reason we went wrong is in the area of holding onto truth - the truth of the Gospel message. For example, I have talked to a lot of people about the Gospel message. Many of them respond to me by saying that God is all-loving and all-forgiving. In a sense, that is true. But who is He all-loving towards and all-forgiving towards? It is those who repented of their sins, and who have put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It does not apply to those who have only a head knowledge of what Jesus did for them on the Cross, yet, their lives are not affected by the Gospel message.

We have to have some understanding of the seriousness of our sin, and how it relates to our relationship with God. If we just ask Jesus into our hearts, and go on our merry way, nothing has happened spiritually in our hearts, and we will be deceived into thinking that we are ready for heaven, when we really aren't.

This false Gospel message has permeated the church. Many professing Christians believe in Jesus, but they have never come to know Him, nor have they repented of their sins. If these people make up the church, no wonder the church is weak. It doesn't represent the true and living God, and its people are living a lie.

There are even 'churches' and 'pastors' out there who tell their people that God wants women to abort their babies. Do we not fear God anymore? Do we even have any idea who God is and what His word tells us? Probably not, as many believe that the belief system of the culture has more validity and weight than the word of God.

We need to come back to the Bible and know what it says. God is amazing. He is not a Genie in a bottle or an idol to be worshiped as an idol. God is God, and we must worship Him for who He is.

We need to get back to the true and living God, as He describes Himself in His word.

The Three Main Different Political Views In Our Country Today And How They Are Affecting Us

What are the issues confronting us today? I mean, what are the main issues that are involved in our political world that we are facing right now?

There are three main understandings of what we are facing today, and how we should handle them. But first, we have to look at the bigger picture.

God's word teaches us how to separate light from darkness, truth from error, right from wrong, and good from evil. This is foundational for any understanding of how governments and civilizations work.

No society will be successful if immorality is practiced in it. The Bible has a lot to say about immorality and its corrosive power. Societies die when people live immoral lives.

God will judge the immoral. But there is another issue at stake. It has to do with justice/injustice. In our country today, there are many unjust situations. God is a just God, and He will deal with injustice, as well as immorality, on That Day.

Let's talk about the three main understandings of how our country will be successful. We have to understand, that there is a large, powerful group of people who are implementing laws of immorality. There are many, many ways this is taking place today, in America. The people who are implementing these laws are those who want to destroy this country, and then remake it into a Socialistic nation. They know that if they can divide people up and pit them against each other, our society will begin to crumble. They implement many things that are immoral and will destroy us. Yet, many of us seem to be oblivious to what is going on.

We all know about what happened last week when the governor of New York passed a law that allowed full term babies to be aborted. This is totally immoral. It is also totally unjust. If you think about the reasons that they give, you can see a lot of weakness in their law. Yet, we are powerless to do anything about it.

Of course, it goes back even further. Who gave people the right to have sexual relationships outside of marriage? God didn't. Where in the Bible does it talk about a 'woman's right to her own body'? It doesn't. So, these people are so far away from God, yet they are in our legal system making up the laws!

When America is finally destroyed, the people will have no choice but to depend upon the government (which is what they want), and socialism will begin.

But there is another group, which also seems somewhat oblivious to those at the top levels of our government creating the immoral laws. This group is the one focused on the social injustices that have gone on in this country. What seems to rile them up is when those things they consider to be unjust take place. Much of what they focus on has to do with racism, Gay rights, LGBT rights, transgender rights, etc. What they would blame the Conservatives of being guilty of are all the phobias (Islamic phobia, Xenophobia, homophobia, etc.)

This group is the one that concerns me most. It is a group made up of people who are professing Christians, who really seem to know the Lord. They aren't so much opposed to the laws being made that are immoral. They are totally focused on issues that involve injustices. They would classify themselves as 'social justice warriors', and they seem, in some ways, to be more united with the group that practices immorality, than they would be with the Conservatives.

This is what is so puzzling to me. For example, when the governors of Virginia and New York came out with their legalities supporting women who want to abort their babies when the babies are full term, the Conservatives and many true believers in Jesus Christ were in an uproar. And rightly so. But it didn't seem to have the same affect upon those Christians who focus on the social injustices. To them, it is way more important that we elect black people into office, even if they are immoral, as that is supposed to make things right between blacks and whites and will help with racial reconciliation.

Do you see the disconnect here though? These people who know the Bible, and know the Lord, are more concerned with racial issues than moral issues. I'm not saying that they approve of abortion or anything like that. But they do put an emphasis on other social justice issues that really shouldn't have that kind of priority, while so many other evil things are going on.

I'm not saying we should ignore racial issues either. Everything has its place. And if our local churches were accurately teaching the word of God, there would be racial reconciliation going on in our society, as well as those who would know better than to have an abortion or even engage in sexual relationships outside of marriage.

The government cannot change our hearts. Only God can do that. And we must 'fear the Lord' before this all makes sense to us. When we have healthy churches in this country, teaching the word of God accurately, many social issues will be resolved. Moral issues will also be taken care of. Hearts will change.

So, to recap, here are the three main focuses of the goals of the way people look at our political system today:

1. The group that is embracing immorality so that our country will be corrupted and destroyed
2. The professing Christians who believe in social justice above everything else
3. The professing Christians and Conservatives who focus on moral issues

There is nothing we can do about the first group except use spiritual warfare (praying, fasting, etc), but with the second group, there needs to be a change in priority issues. As serious as some of the social injustices are, much of that can be changed if we look at the moral issues behind them.

And one more word on this; much of what we hear and are being taught about social justice/injustice, is inaccurate or distorted. We need to have a good, Biblical understanding of how we are to treat others and how to deal with those who do not treat others properly. I have seen many distorted articles on how Conservatives are bigots and full of hate, when only the opposite is true. Anyone who uses the Bible to teach truth becomes a bigot. I have even heard people complain about Jesus saying He is the only way to heaven! This is part of the thinking of these social justice focusing people. In some states, you can't even talk about homosexuality, unless you are endorsing it! The sense of justice is off, because the people at the top who make the rules do not know God. So, the Christian who supports this social justice way of thinking needs to be careful lest he or she ends up supporting the LGBT or transgender rights and, at the expense of not standing up for the protection of the unborn (and now, in some places, newborns).

If we don't take care of the moral issues soon, we will not have a nation. At present, we have many in our government, at the top levels, who are people who have been turned over by God to their own wicked desires. They have no consciences. They have a distorted understanding of love. This group has a double standard; one for them, and another one for everyone else. They are hypocritical in their actions and accusations. If they continue to make laws, our country will not last much longer. Our freedoms will be very limited or even gone.

How to pray:

1. Pray for American people to learn 'the fear of the Lord'
2. Pray the wrongdoers will be caught in their wrongdoing and penalized
3. Pray for lost people to come to know the Lord
4. Pray for churches to accurately teach the word of God
5. Pray that racial reconciliation takes place in our churches
6. Pray that hardened, evil men and women will be removed from their places of office
7. Pray that God-fearing men and women will replace those who are implementing wicked laws
8. Pray for people who know the Lord, to become discerning and spiritually sharp
9. Pray that churches will repent of immorality and believing lies
10. Pray that abortion will come to an end in America

Whenever the Enemy knows we will divide over issues,
he is happy. United we stand. Divided we fall.

It's Too Expensive To Live In New York, So, I Will Propose A 70% Tax For New Yorkers In Order To Help Pay My Bills

OK, I'm struggling with some things here. Didn't I read or hear about Alexandria Ocasio Cortez complaining about how high the cost of living is in New York, and how she was having a hard time finding and affordable place to live? Next thing I know, she is proposing a 70% tax for those who live in the state of New York. Do we see what is going on here?

I think it was in the state of Illinois, where I heard that the tax on a house is extremely high, and if you don't pay that tax, you will not be able to live in your house, even if it is paid off. So, one could be all set in their retirement, having paid every last cent on the bill for the house, yet, still be kicked out because the owner can't afford the taxes.

Does anyone see the problem(s) here? First, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez realizes the high cost of living. Then, she proposes this unreal tax on the people. That will help pay for the rent that she says she can't afford.

My question is, do the people who live in these areas of the country, realize what is going on? And if so, do they see the connection between who they voted for and the kinds of decisions those who are voted into office are making for us?

Things like this happened in Bible days as well. People who served in the top levels of the governments sometimes made good decisions that served the country well. Conversely, some who were in office made bad or wrong decisions, and brought great harm to the people.

God has given us in America, the opportunity to vote and elect the people we choose into office. But some people want to stay away from politics because they believe that politics are bad. Others actually believe, and I have heard this before, that Christians have no place being involved in politics.

(One time, I brought some voter guides to a church building, who supposedly wanted them. I talked with the lady who was a secretary who wasn't very kind at all, and refused to take the voter's guides. She said that we shouldn't be judging people! Do these people not understand what the issues are at hand? A voter's guide simply is a paper revealing the answers of candidates concerning certain questions that were asked of them.)

We probably have embraced those two ways of doing things, for now we are reaping what we have sown. Either we don't care, or are uninformed of what's going on around us, or, we have this simple belief that says we are to stay away from politics.

Is this what we want? Be assured, this trend will find its way in each state eventually, if we don't step up and become responsible citizens.

Don't ever forget to pray for our country. We need God's help and intervention like never before.

Why The Left Is Not Impressed With The Growing Economy

I was just thinking about how the Left does not care for Capitalism, and why they are less than impressed about the growing economy we have today.

Why is Capitalism so valuable anyway? When God designed people, he created them to be workers. With the fall of mankind, as described in Genesis 3, we experience bad ramifications from this, including our response to work and responsibility.

God created families. The family unit is the basic unit of society. The Bible defines the family unit as being made up of one man and one woman, who will reproduce by having children, or will adopt children. Being a parent is a big responsibility, and it requires at least one parent to work, which is normally the husband, and father of the children.

Normal people desire to be part of a family unit. Men will aspire to be good husbands and fathers, while normal women will build the home of the family as well as manage the household. When children come, mothers who are normal will love and nurture their children. Parents will protect their children as much as they possibly can, and they will provide for their children as well.

Why would the Left not care about Capitalism and how it is benefitting our society today? The answer is simple; Leftists do not have a high value for the family unit!

Leftists are also redefining the family unit. Today, a man can have a marriage relationship with another man, if that is what he desires. Or at least he can have a sexual bonding with another male. Women have that same option. Many women are so disgusted at the men today, that they have chosen to be lesbians. But what is ironic about this, is that it is obvious that these kinds of relationships will not produce children, so, many homosexual or lesbian relationships look into adopting children.

But it even gets more bizarre. I have read or heard about a man who married his computer! Now, this one is beyond me, but it is happening in America today. And many would think of this type of activity as 'freedom'. But we see it as bondage.

God has not ordained men to marry men, nor has He ordained women to marry other women. Or computers or anything else. When we step out of God's boundaries, we step out of His umbrella of protection. We also open the door to Satan and give him an opportunity to cause us to stumble.

Capitalism has no meaning or value to a Leftist simply because there is no reason why they would need to earn money or make a living. And hey, if they can bum money off the rich, so much the better. And if we can do that legally, woo hoo!!

So, normal men and women work hard to provide for themselves food, shelter, clothing, and the basic things we need in life, for themselves and their families. But the Leftists want to have power in the top levels of government, mainly so they can make the laws and call the shots. And they can take the money that people worked hard at, legally, to provide for their families, and use it on themselves for their pleasures.

This is not only unfair. This is unjust. There will be a day of reckoning for all this. In the meantime, we will have to be praying and fasting for this country. We need help.

Many have chosen to reject God and God has turned them over to their wicked desires. They do shameful acts, shamelessly. The conscience is gone. They can now do whatever they want, and not feel bad about hurting others. And when they are in the White House, that only spells trouble. Serious trouble.

May God have mercy on us!

Updated Ant and the Grasshopper Story and How It Applies To America Today

Someone sent me this yesterday, and I found it interesting and enlightening. I will share it here with my readers. I don't know who the writers were of this article, but I think the point is clear.

As you probably know, the classical version of the Ant and the Grasshopper story goes like this:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

I didn't write this, (Jim Quinn did) and I don't endorse it. But I it's funny, so here it is, the Updated Ant and Grasshopper fable:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving. CBS, NBC, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can it be that, in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Then a representative of the NAAGB (The National Association for the Advancement of Green Bugs) shows up on Nightline and charges the ant with "green bias", and makes the case that the grasshopper is the victim of 30 million years of greenism. Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when he sings "It's Not Easy Being Green." Bill and Hillary Clinton make a special guest appearance on the CBS Evening News to tell a concerned Dan Rather that they will do everything they can for the grasshopper who has been denied the prosperity he deserves by those who benefited unfairly during the Reagan summers, or as Bill refers to it, the "Temperatures of the 80's." Richard Gephardt exclaims in an interview with Peter Jennings that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his "fair share". Finally, the EEOC drafts the "Economic Equity and Anti-greenism Act," retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government. Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill appointed from a list of single-parent welfare moms who can only hear cases on Thursday afternoon between 1:30 and 3:00 PM when there are no talk shows scheduled.

The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he's in -- which just happens to be the ant's old house -- crumbles around him since he doesn't know how to maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow. And on the TV, which the grasshopper bought by selling most of the ant's food, they are showing Bill Clinton standing before a wildly applauding group of Democrats announcing that a new era of "fairness" has dawned in America.
