How Governing Bodies Reinterpret Truth To Us

We were listening to the President as he spoke tonight at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. He was speaking during the time when the Hannity show would be airing. So, instead of hearing Sean Hannity, we heard the President. No interruptions either.

The Hannity Show comes on Fox News Network at 9:00 p.m. But I made an observation. We switched over to CNN a couple of times. Do you know what we were hearing on CNN? We weren't listening to the President speak. What we heard was a voice criticizing the President and taking things out of context, as usual, concerning the President.

What CNN and the other fake news channels do is to take something like the President's speech tonight, reinterpret it, then give their own spin on it. They won't air the President himself as he is speaking. They only want you to know their interpretation on what the President said.

If they did air the President while he was speaking, we would see for ourselves what is true about him and his policies, and those on the Left do not want you to know what is real and true about the President. They want you to think he is a racist, bully, bigot, Islamaphobic, Xenophobic, etc. If you were to actually listen to the President, you would see that these accusations aren't true.

You know, the Jehovah's Witnesses have this kind of operation as well. Only their reinterpretation of Scriptures comes through their Governing Body. Jehovah's Witnesses are not encouraged to read the Bible for themselves. They receive their interpretation of the Scriptures through their Governing Body. When you present Scripture to them, they go back to their Governing Body in order to know how to answer you. The Governing Body replaces the Holy Spirit in Scripture interpretation.

Just an interesting observation of who we trust in to give us the true picture of things. Something to think about, as we decide who should be elected into office in the future.

Can Taxes From The Wealthy Sustainably Support The Needy?

There are people who think that if the wealthiest of the wealthy are highly taxed, the money coming from the taxes would be able to sustainably support those who are poor. But would that really work?

Years ago, I had a friend who was poor. She was unable to work, and her ex-husband to be wanted to drain her financially. So, we stepped in for a season, and a group of us from church worked with her on her finances. Since she was not able to work, someone had to foot the bills.

We went over her budget with her. It was interesting because some of the things that she needed money for were the same things I needed money for. The same amount of money was budgeted for her as it was for us, and we had a family of four to take care of.

Let’s see what the bills came to. Rent was $900/month. Food was $600/month. Supplements were $600/month. Then there was the car, insurance, electric and water bills, medical bills, etc. It came to a lot of money per month. Plus, she wanted to get training in a career that she would have liked to start someday, so we helped out with that as well.

Supporting her on a regular basis would be like supporting another wife for my husband. Only our house and car were paid for.

Imagine paying those kinds of bills for everyone in poverty in America. Would the taxes of the wealthy really cover the bills for all the poor people on an ongoing basis? What about the illegal immigrants entering our country? Someone is going to have to pay their bills. Can the taxes of the rich cover them also, on a regular basis?

Has someone ever done the math with this? It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that this doesn’t work. It never worked in any country in the past, and it won’t work in America in the future.

Don’t be deceived by these leaders who are proposing that we tax the wealthy to pay for poverty. It will never be enough, and the needs will continue even after the wealthy pass away. It is just not a sustainable way to work the economics of a country.

The Bullies In America Today?

There has been a lot of talk about bullying lately. But, the whole concept of bullying and being superior has been redefined.
This is a made up story, but you will get the point.

Let’s say I have a son who becomes a skilled physician. Let’s say he does a good job at what he does and is successful in his career. Some would say that it’s unfair that someone gets a good, high paying job while others remain jobless. It’s not fair that he makes more money than others. They would say that my son is a bully and that he is oppressing people.
If you take this apart though, it really doesn’t make sense. How would my son be bullying people around if he is skilled at something and as a result of his skill and knowledge, he makes a lot of money?

There is a subtle belief that everything on earth is balanced. There is an equal balance of good and bad. There is an equal balance of pain and peace. If there is something good that happens to someone, then, to someone else, something bad will happen. This is called, ‘Yin-Yang’. It is part of the Eastern religions, and, sadly, it has even swept through America.
I remember listening to Greg Koukle one time, and he was explaining how he was talking with a woman in India. The conclusion of the conversation was that the woman actually believed that because boys in America have a lot of toys (video games, etc.) that means boys in India will be lacking in those things. It has to be balanced.

But this is not Biblical. The Bible explains that God causes both blessings and difficulties to come to the righteous as well as the unrighteous. When God blesses someone, that doesn’t mean that person is a bully. It just means that God has blessed that person with a skill or talent, and that person is responsible for being a good steward of what God has given to him or her.
Anyway, anyone who is successful at their job, or by using a skill, anyone who gets recognition and is shown appreciation for what they have been given, is considered, by some, as a bully.
A bully takes the power away from another. A bully uses his power to magnify himself or herself, to make him or her look important. A bully stops others from achieving worthwhile goals for themselves.

I don’t see how a person who has a good paying job is stopping someone else from being successful at a job. Why do we penalize someone for doing their job and getting paid for it? How is this person’s success oppressing another? This just doesn’t make sense.
Do you think people have bought into the Yin/Yang philosophy in America? Or, could it just be that some are green with envy when others succeed in life? Why is it considered wrong when a person works hard, studies, has hands on experience, and learns a trade or skill that is used to help make a community work? What am I missing here?

There is a principle called, ‘supply and demand’. If a product or service is desired, then a person or business is created to supply the need for the demand. We empower people with our wallets. We pay for things we enjoy or can use. If someone produces something we need, we will pay for that item or service. We are empowering the person who created the item or service. That person is not taking advantage of others or bullying others around with their product. (It is possible for bullying to take place when someone has money or authority, but that is not what normally happens. That is a whole other topic for another article. That is an issue of the heart).

That’s all I’m going to write on this for now. I’m just tired of people making up stories and cases designed to destroy someone or a group of people for being wealthy. Instead of spending their time being sick with envy, they could be building their own lives and could become productive citizens.
